Mena Alexandra suvari, born February 13, 1979 in the USA is an actress, fashion designer and a model. After launching her professional career as an actress, Mena Alexandra Suvari appeared in guest roles for 1990s television shows Boy Meets World and High Incident. Her film debut came in the 1997 dramatic film Nowhere. Following her appearance on the screen in American Beauty (for which she received an award from the BAFTA Award) and American Pie which brought her greater attention, she began her move into more prominent roles. The year 2000 saw her starred alongside her American Pie co star Jason Biggs. She then played the lead role on the film Sugar & Spice (2000). She had appearances in the 2002 independent drama Spun as well as the 2004 action feature Trauma. The year 2004, she starred in HBO's series Six Feet Under. She received nominations for the Screen Actors Guild Award in for 2005 in the category of Outstanding Ensemble. In 2008, Suvari was cast in various films like Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh as well as the adaptation film of The Garden of Eden. Suvari has been featured on fashion blogs and in various magazines like Vogue as well as Lancome Paris Adaptive print ads. She has backed and served as an advocate of the African Medical and Research Foundation over the years.
